Terms and Conditions (Maintenance Plans)

I will always do my best to fulfil your needs and meet your goals, but sometimes it is best to have a few simple things written down so that we both know what is included, our responsibilities and what happens if stuff goes wrong.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all Maintenance Plans and acceptance of these terms and conditions is necessary in order for Maintenance Plans to be in place.

Security

Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee 100% your website will not get hacked, and therefore cannot accept liability in such an event, the parameters are simply too wide-ranging. However, I will endeavour to do my very best to safeguard your website from attacks and react quickly to high priority releases. I do hope you understand.

Website maintenance plans do not include:

  • Changes to content, templates or themes. Including changes to the way custom themes, custom fields and short codes are handled or any revisions to theme code that may arise as a result of upgrading any software.
  • Front end and e-commerce user testing.
  • Additional third party software, plugin upgrades, SSL certificate renewals or font usage purchases.
  • Recovery of website either due to hosting issues or hacking attempt.
  • Hosting.

Unless otherwise specified or agreed any work outside of this agreement will be billed at my usual hourly rate (currently £25ph).

Data Handling

Whilst performing backups and other maintenance tasks copies may need to be downloaded of your website’s database and files. These will be deleted within a month unless you request otherwise. As part of some maintenance tasks a 3rd party service  ManageWP will be used, this may also include backups, as such please also review their privacy policy.

Authorisation

As my customer, you have the power and ability to enter into this contract on behalf of your company or organisation.

In order to carry out maintenance work you authorise me to perform tasks on your website without any further prior approval, tasks may include installing new plugins, deleting old post revisions, installing security software and anything else I believe is in the interest of the security and health of your website.

Payment and Cancellation

Plans will commence from the beginning of the next calendar month after payment has been received. You can cancel Maintenance Plans at any time, once a written request to cancel is received plans will cease at the beginning of the next calendar month. If payments cease at any time this will be taken as a request to cancel your maintenance plan.
